Detailed Description

Bimmerworld-built and raced Continental Street Car Challenge ST-class BMW E90 race car. 2006 330i base chassis that has been a race car most of its life. It was a race-winner in CTSCC. This is a great club-racing car: it is a pro-level build that retains mostly stock/factory parts for easy serviceability.

It was initially built for endurance racing, but I have been sprint-racing it in Gridlife Touring Cup (GLTC) for the last two years. It has engine oil and power steering coolers, and the transmission and differential have provisions for coolers that were since removed to save weight. I still have most of the parts to reinstall those if you want to take it endurance racing.

Classed for GLTC, it makes approx. 232-248whp depending on the tune selected (and the weather, and the dyno...). It has 3 engine calibrations, selectable via a switch in the trunk. The car would fit in NASA TT/ST5 with minor ballast or by removing the splitter. I'm not familiar with endurance or SCCA or endurance racing classes. The car has a NASA logbook and NASA & SCCA PRO roll cage labels.

The entire chassis was stripped and seam-welded, and the extensive roll cage is one of the nicest parts of the car. It is a TIG-welded cage with an FIA-style double-bent X door bar, sill bars, double-X rear down tubes tied into the rear subframe, foot saver bars, and central jacking points. The driver's seat frame area is boxed and tied to the cage, including a sub-belt mounting bar. Rear shock towers are boxed in and braced for true coilover rear. The fuel cell area is framed, with a central rear jacking point and an integrated rear tow hook.

The N52B30 engine was new at the start of the 2024 season and has 31.4 hours on it. By now, most of the car has been replaced/refreshed/rebuilt. New wheel studs, 335i brakes, rear wheel bearings, all engine gaskets, all engine sensors, including O2 sensors and DISA valves, all fluids, rebuilt MCS dampers, new clutch and flywheel, and much, much more maintenance have been performed. Fluids always changed every other weekend. The car has been incredibly reliable. I have tons of documentation about the car, its electronics/parts, and its history, which are included with the sale.

Pro-level electronics package features a Bosch Motorsport MS4.3 DME, MoTeC ADL3 dash logger, MoTeC shift light module, and a MoTeC PDM15 with complete mil-spec engine and chassis wiring. Cables for the dash logger and PDM are included, along with the associated software and workspaces.

What It Needs

Due for fluids. Needs a new windshield (cracked) and muffler (the baffle rattles at idle, not a big deal). The new muffler is included, but hasn't been welded on. The fuel level warning light sender is dead. The body has plenty of dings, dents, and racing marks from 15-ish years as a race car. Some TLC on the body, and perhaps applying the new wrap (included), would go a long way!
